Tagged
I was tagged by my dear friend and fabulous mentor...Tara New Day, New Season. The instructions were to go to my pictures and find the fourth folder. Open the fourth picture and blog it. Here it is...
Four generations (GJo, Mom, Me, and Ebie) went shopping that day (about a year ago). My Mom bought Ebie some "fingernail" stickers and she wanted one on every fingernail and toe. I am so blessed to have such inspirational women in my life. What a beautiful memory and picture! Thanks Tara for making me drag it out and talk about it. :-)
It's my turn to tag....I am new to blogging and don't know four people to tag but here are a few. Hope you guys join in on the fun.

Birthday
I have had a wonderful birthday full of fun and family. I have had several surprises today...a visit from one of my favorite friends, flowers from another set of friends, my class even surprised me with a card that had a vase of flowers on the cover made out of their hand prints (too cute). We had a family birthday party at Mama's - it was wonderful. Austin and Ebie were so cute wishing me a happy birthday ALL DAY LONG. Jeff even surprised me with some fabulous sticky notes. lol If you know me very well, you know my love for sticky notes and pens. It was a wonderful day and as my fantastic father-in-law always puts it...let's have another one next year.

Thank you mama!
Well, I guess some of my mama's creative genes were passed on to me. I tried my hand at the "project" and have proof. Tell me what you think. I realize I need some more exciting material. The material I used came from my scrap material box and the shirt I used is older than Austin, but still one of my favorite "around the house" shirts. I will definitely be making more shirts, I have the bug. Next time, I will snaz (is that really a word) it up by using flashy material. =)
DAWGS
I couldn't wait to get this on the blog site. I thought these shirts were the cutest things in the world, of course Ebie's is my favorite. I couldn't wait to share these pics with everyone. My Mom is going to try her hand at making them...I even think I may try one tonight myself. When I mentioned this to Jeff, I wish you could have seen his face. I asked him where his poker face was. It was hilarous.
I let you know how the "project" goes. :)

The Cast Is OFF!!!!
Austin got it off today. He was a bit nervous. The lady that took the cast off was very patient and good with kids. She explained what was going to happen in great detail and even put the blade on her own arm, so he would believe that it wouldn't cut his skin. Once she broke the cast, she used the scissors to cut the cotton. The poor boy was more afraid of the scissors touching his arm than he was the saw. After the cast came off, he didn't know what to do with the arm. It was sore...he didn't want to move it or even turn it. I know with time he will get more comfortable with it. The doctor said the broken part of the bone was growing new bone around the break so he is not concerned with him breaking it again. He said that part of the broken part of the arm was strong, but he should wear the sling to make sure he keeps it safe and make sure nobody bumps inot it. At this point he is more concerned with Austin getting his movement back in that arm. He even said occasionally he has to put children in rehab, but he didn't feel that would be the case here. I am pretty sure that boy will be playing as usual within a few days, but he promised NO MONKEY BARS.
